So I painstakingly revamped my site today to make all (or at least the vast majority) my pages validate in XHTML 1.0 Transitional. If you don’t know what this means, don’t worry. Basically I cleaned up my code to adhere to standards set by the W3C. I am filled with geeky pride.
I upgraded my site and my wife’s site to the new MT 3.1. Very cool new features. My archives are dynamic now, baby!
In an effort to get my coding a little closer to web standards, I have done a lot of re-designing, although it should be mostly invisible. I ditched table layouts in favor of CSS styling.
Also, I hope to eventually start using this front page more effectively, so be sure and check here too, instead of just bookmarking my “Human” page. It’s been kind of a vicious circle in that I’ve only used the front page for technical site changes, and thus I’ve also been hesitant to post more stuff here since I figure no one looks here, since I don’t post more here, lather, rinse, repeat.
So hopefully more useful stuff to come here. Meanwhile my brain is mush from working on this site, and my wife’s site literally all weekend long. I see HTML and CSS when I close my eyes, and I’ve crammed more information into my brain than it likes to digest in such a short time. If you notice any quirks or errors anywhere, let me know!
There is one visible change, though. The lovely green line to the left! Enjoy the hell out of it!
If you can then you are viewing my site on it’s new server. This is a good thing. However there may be some quirks and things not working quite right until the transfer gets all ironed out.
Added a link to my Amazon Wish List in the Links section to make it all that much easier to buy me stuff! Stuff! Stuff! More stuff!
Added new headshot and character voice demo to the “Actor” section.
A few photos of our May 2003 toobing trip down the Guadalupe river can be found here.
Well after being obsessed with testing and configuring various weblog software pretty solidly for the last 3 or 4 days, I’ve finally gone to Movable Type to power this page and my Human (?) page
