For your listening pleasure…

Todays studio session produced Hello “Mr. Sunshine”. I dig it. I’m on guitar, bass, drums, tambourine and backup vocals. It’s a bit “out there” but in a cool way.
Oh, and I had 2 job possibilities today. This is good for the money situation, and yet I can’t really say I’m happy about it as this means what meager progress I have made in the acting/etc pursuits will now have to be shelved, at least for the moment. So yay for paying bills and all, but yet I strangely can’t really seem to find any joy in this turn of events.
I’m a great musician/writer/producer though! Very happy with that!

I have been thinking about this since you posted it (Actually, since Jess posted about it), and I am still not sure what I want to say. HA! Like that’s ever stopped me.
I think it’s great, on the one hand, that you know where the money will be coming from for the next two months. Money pays rent and buys food and all that fun stuff.
On the other hand, it is very obviously NOT what you wanted. So you are absolutely right to be less than joyful about it.
I guess what I am hoping is that you can use this as a building block of sorts. Do the work, which you will be great at even if you don’t enjoy it; save as much of the money as possible; Keep looking for work that is what you want! A lot of smaller movies have shoots on the weekends. Although I am sure that you have no interest in working 7 days a week, getting a PA job is what you want, and if you can do that while you’re working a regular job you can afford to do it for free or very low pay. More movies on your resume is always good.
This temporary position is also great because two months should (theoretically) enable Jess to find work that will enable you to go full-time on the Ideal Job search.
I am crossing my toes for you both.

    I think it’s excellent!
I also really really like Someone To Love, but I didn’t listen to it until just now, or I would have commented on it sooner.
Question: would it be helpful to you at all for me to shareware your musical talents in hopes of garnering you attention? (I should note that I’ve tried this for other people, and no one ever downloaded anything. Um. Hee.) And, if so, what information should I include in the file info for maximum you-identifiability?
